Certified Android devices (Android 7+) in Brazil, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand start blocking normal installs and updates of apps whose developers have not registered with Google’s developer verification.
Are Google Play apps affected?
Play developers must also register, but almost all Play apps already are. The main impact is on apps from F-Droid, GitHub, websites and alternative stores.
Will my installed apps stop working?
No. Installed apps keep running. New installs and updates of unregistered apps need the advanced flow or ADB.
Where does the status come from?
From Google’s official Android Developer ID Status API, cached for a few hours. We do not store your app list.
When does it reach other countries?
